Thursday, November 5. (Day 54.)

Reason 54: Having a substitute in math and therefore no one to explain exactly how it is you simplify polynomials.

[It’s 11:26 and I’m still up working on this English assignment. Since I don’t have time to formulate an actual post about my day (which was okay) I’m going to post some of the short story “tale of horror” thing on here. (Keep in mind it isn’t much. I didn’t have much to work with, which you know if you’ve read the first draft. Haha. Also, I’m only posting the start of this because I know that no one cares enough to read the whole thing.)]

Two young adults wondered down the dark street, both looking to be about the age of sixteen. It was questionable whether or not they were under the influence of alcohol. They stumbled and tripped with just about every step they took, their senseless words slurring together as they tried to string together the events of the night they had had.

The boy was tall and gawky, towering over the girl by an astounding amount. His dark brown hair stuck out in every which way, so he was perpetually looking as if he had just woken up. He himself could be blamed for this; he was always running his hand through his hair and making it worst. His skin was a dark tan from being out in the sun so much, and eyes so dark brown that it was like you were getting lost in a pool of chocolate.

The girl, in contrast, had a light about her. Though small and thin, her personality was bubbly and vivacious. Her hair was a run-down shade blonde, random curls distributed in the under layers. Her skin was fair, her eyes were the lightest blue, and there was a string of freckles slung across the bridge of her nose.

The night was unusually dark, the kind of dark where one didn’t even have the light of the stars or the moon. Not a sound could be heard, the darkness and emptiness of the street overtaking every other characteristic of the night. It was obviously past midnight, though what time it was exactly, couldn’t be said.
